Former Texas Tech quarterback Jett Duffey is joining Central Michigan as a graduate transfer, he wrote in a text to ESPN on Sunday. Duffey played in 10 games last season, the final eight as the starter after an injury to Alan Bowman. He passed for 2,840 yards with 18 touchdowns and five interceptions. He completed 65.1 percent of his passes and averaged 284.0 yards per game. Central Michigan (8-6) won the Mid-American Conference West division title in its first year under former Florida head coach Jim McElwain.
