Mr. Rizzi served as a police officer from 1991 to 2000, quitting the job because of the lingering effects of an injury he suffered on duty in 1995. A fight ensued; Mr. Rizzi injured his back. After leaving the Police Department, Mr. Rizzi opened a sex accessory business on Staten Island, Mr. Solano said. Mr. Rizzi is married to Jill Juliano, whose father, Richard Juliano, a soldier in the Gambino crime family, pleaded guilty to a gambling charge in 2003. “I plan to use some of the skills I’ve learned in the last few years,” Mr. Rizzi said, “in a positive way.”
