Presenting the latest report on the case, ICT Prosecutor Tureen Afroz appealed to the tribunal for putting him behind bars. Wahidul was serving in the Pakistan Army during the 1971 war. Earlier Tureen said Wahidul is accused of killing innocent people in the Rangpur Cantonment in 1971. Wahidul worked there as an adjutant until Mar 30, 1971, according to the case dossier. He was transferred to West Pakistan later in the same year and stayed there until December 1973.
