"Look into the issues affecting the people first, and I believe no one would mind if the Chief Minister poses as Ultraman, Captain America or (decide to) scale a building to imitate Spiderman," said the former chief minister in an interview on Saturday (Jan 4). Idris added that the local tourism industry needed an urgent lifeline, as the hospitality industry was suffering from low occupancy rates. "Perhaps, the Chief Minister wants to outdo the popularity of one of his excos, who gained instant fame over his handling of the wild boar issue, by posing as a martial arts practitioner," he quipped. "Our Chief Minister promotes Melaka as a kaleidoscope of cultural diversity in many areas here," he said. Murali added that the Chief Minister's style of greeting for the festive season would help the tourism industry in the state to flourish.
