Ex-EACC staff found guilty of bribery, ordered to pay Sh800,000


Two former Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission employees have been found guilty of soliciting a bribe and fined a total of Sh800,000. Magistrate Felix Kombo ordered the two to pay the Sh800,000 fine or face a one-year jail term. On the second count, Mutinda is said to have received Sh50,000 as inducement not to cancel an LPO for the supply of cameras to the EACC. The magistrate directed Mutinda to pay Sh500,000 the for two counts whereas Omanya was fined Sh300,000.
