MANILA, Philippines — Former Kadingilan, Bukidnon Mayor Joelito Talaid, 43, was reportedly shot dead Saturday morning by an unknown assailant in Cagayan de Oro City. According to a GMA News Online report, the ambush happened when Talaid bought fruits at a store past 9 a.m. in Cagayan de Oro City's Upper Carmen area. The gunman shot Talaid just when he was about to ride his car. A bullet reportedly hit the ex-mayor’s head. The police said they’re conducting an investigation to identify Talaid’s killers.
