A sprawling Colorado property owned by trusts controlled by Sam Wyly, the onetime billionaire who was embroiled in a tax fraud scandal, has sold at auction for just over $14 million—a fraction of its nearly $60 million original asking price. Located in the rural Woody Creek area outside Aspen, Circle R Ranch is roughly 244 acres and has six family homes, each with a unique design, according to listing agent Andrew Ernemann of Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty.
