A Jhenaidah court has sentenced former BNP lawmaker to 10 years imprisonment in a case filed by Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) for concealing information in wealth report and amassing illegal wealth. The court also fined Md Mashiur Rahman Tk70,000 and ordered the authorities concerned to confiscated his wealth worth Tk 10 crore. The state counsel Sirajul Islam said Mashiur had submitted his wealth statement to ACC on June 5, 2008. The ACC on December 14 the same year filed a case against him after finding for concealing wealth information and amassing wealth illegally. Later, Jessore ACC Deputy Director Nasir Uddin filed the charge sheet in the case on September 3, 2009.
