Five persons, including a former Bangladesh Bank employee, have been arrested with fake currency worth over Tk1 crore in Dhaka. RAB-1 arrested them from in separate raids in Banasree and Jurain on Thursday morning. “We also found a large amount of material and few machines used to produce fake currency,” RAB Legal and Media Wing Assistant Director Mizanur Rahman said. The identities of the arrestees were not disclosed immediately. RAB said they would brief the media later in the day.
