As of Feb. 17, Alberta had administered 155,532 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, with 58,674 Albertans fully immunized having received two doses. Alberta reported 325 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, compared with 415 new cases reported Thursday. Alberta Health told CBC News Friday that ten schools have had a case of someone with a variant attending while infectious and three schools have had in-school transmission. "In January alone, case investigators and contact tracers from Alberta Health Services closed a total of 21,216 investigations. Dr. Mark Joffe, an Alberta Health Services vice-president and medical director for northern Alberta, said the province is in "a much better place" than it was in December.
