House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) said that the plan to repeal and replace Obamacare was "proceeding." White House press secretary Sean Spicer said that the American Health Care Act (AHCA) would pass Thursday night. He also said that there is no Plan B, but it turned out that this was just a description of the contraceptive benefits available to women under the House plan. (Democrats are also objecting, but of course national health insurance is not a bipartisan issue.) Fortunately, if that doesn’t pass, we will get coverage under this thing called the Affordable Care Act that it turns out we have had all along!
