Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that left-back Luke Shaw is poised to miss the FA Cup final against Manchester City after suffering a setback in his recovery from injury. Ten Hag has described Shaw's chances of facing City at Wembley on May 25 as being "very small." Fortunately, Shaw's United and England teammate, Harry Maguire, is expected to be fit for the final, but will miss this weekend's trip to Brighton & Hove Albion. Meanwhile, Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane have both trained today (Thursday) and could be involved at the Amex Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Elsewhere, Ten Hag also spoke of the confidence his young players will have gained from Wednesday night's 3-2 triumph over Newcastle United at Old Trafford.
