Sen as a filmmaker is keenly aware of the time we are living in, and her latest film, Gharey Bairey, Aaj that premiered at the festival bears a fitting testimony to it. Her present film, that she feels is her most honest and most political work, does not resort to hide her politics. Sen does the same but with marked insight. In 2019, Sen’s film, that received a standing ovation at the festival, appears more close to reality than ever before.
