Newcastle hero Olivier Bernard trolled Jordan Pickford with a picture of a dinosaur after the goalkeeper failed to keep out Florian Lejeune's shot. It initially appeared that Pickford had managed to stop the ball crossing the line, but goalline technology intervened to give the goal. Newcastle fans were quick to take to social media after the game to poke fun at the former Sunderland goalkeeper and Bernard joined in. The retired defender posted a picture of a T-Rex wearing goalkeeping gloves behind a line of toilet paper. "We played a fantastic game and we were unlucky but nothing changes - our Premier League continues, we have to stay focused.
