Niko Kovac lost his job as manager of Bayern Munich after only 18 months in November after a poor run of form, despite leading them to the double in the previous season. The former Eintracht Frankfurt and Croatia boss was spotted alongside owner Farhad Moshiri, and rumours over his possible appointment began to swirl. Goal have claimed that Kovac is taking a break from football and is not at Goodison to hold talks over the vacant role, with Duncan Ferguson currently in charge on an interim basis. The Daily Mail have added that the Croatian was not sitting near either Moshiri or Bill Kenwright, although he was sitting in the directors box.
