The Blues hope to receive planning permission from Liverpool City Council for their proposed 52,888 capacity new home in the coming "months". And board member Sasha Ryazantsev has revealed that the club estimate they will have spent £54m on planning for the move by the end of June this year. To date, the club have spent £39m on the stadium project. "The club committed significant funds to the development of the new stadium," Ryazantsev said, in his presentation to shareholders at the General Meeting last night. "We forecast that by the end of June 2021 the club will have spent £54m on the new stadium project.
