Even now people consider us as outsiders in India, identifying us as people from Nepal. So, we demand a separate homeland. The GTA departments are controlled by elected representatives of the GJM, so what is the problem? It did not work with the Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council [during Ghising’s time] either and the same with us.
