Why former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has been arrestedEx-Nairobi Governor Evans Odhiambo Kidero (pictured) has been arrested over irregular payment of Sh68 million to a law firm. Kidero's Former Chief of Staff George Wainaina and former Councillor Paul Mutunga have also been arrested. According to EACC Kyavee Holdings Limited never existed and therefore, had no legal capacity to sue the county. Also set to be charged are Acting Deputy Director Internal Audit Nairobi County Manasseh Karanja and Principal Accountant Nairobi County Philomena Kavinja. Others are accountants Ng'ang'a Mung'ai, Charity Ndiritu, Peterson Njiru, Ekaya Alumasi, James Mbugua, Elizabeth Nderitu and Alice Njeri.
