Canada Post has made special arrangements so some Fort McMurray evacuees can pick up child tax benefit cheques in Edmonton. In addition, Canada Post is offering evacuees free mail forwarding to any address in the country until mail service resumes in Fort McMurray. Canada Post is advising that registered evacuees, who have been confirmed by Red Cross and received a text with further instructions, can visit any Canada Post Office in Canada to claim financial assistance. Anyone with questions for Canada Post can call 1-800-387-1193. It's offering a short-term pick up option at the Telus World of Science in Edmonton at 11211 142nd Street.
