Eutelsat claims industry-first with NASA TV channels accessible to MENA and Europe – SatellitePro ME


NASA TV HD is transmitted free-to-air from the Hotbird video neighbourhood at 13° East for viewers in Europe, the MENA, and via the 7° East video neighbourhood for viewers in Sub-Saharan Africa. Eutelsat Communications has announced that the NASA High Definition (NTV-3) and NASA Ultra High Definition (NTV-4) channels are broadcasting in free-to-air via satellite for the first time across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. NASA TV HD is transmitted free-to-air from the Hotbird video neighbourhood at 13° East for viewers in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and via the 7° East video neighbourhood for viewers in Sub-Saharan Africa. NASA TV UHD is also broadcast on the Hotbird and 7° East video neighbourhoods, as well as the Fransat TV platform via the Eutelsat 5 West A satellite, for subscribers equipped with an Ultra HD-compatible TV set. Eutelsat is claiming an industry-first as a satellite operator to make NASA TV channels accessible to a large audience base across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
