The continental high-speed rail service said that the pound’s decline after Britain’s vote to leave the European Union had made the country an attractive destination. The announcement came, however, as Eurostar reported that passenger numbers had fallen by a tenth in the third quarter, from 2.9 million to 2.6 million. This was accompanied by a drop in sales revenue of 8 per cent, from £200 million to £184 million. As it reported on a “challenging summer” in the wake of several terrorist attacks on the Continent, Eurostar said that it had found some solace during the French school…
