Photo: PIDDHAKA, Jan 22, 2026 (BSS) - Chairperson of the European Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (EuroCham), Nuria Lopez, paid a courtesy call on Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser to the Ministries of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Water Resources, and Information and Broadcasting. The meeting took place today at the adviser’s office at the Ministry of Environment at Bangladesh Secretariat. She also directed the Department of Environment to finalize the guidelines at the earliest possible time through stakeholder consultations and by reviewing the relevant laws of the European Union and neighboring countries. She added that the European Union is keen to work with Bangladesh to maintain environmental balance.
