Eureka moments in the making at Ideas Festival in Nelson

Recently graduated Nelson high school student, Alexi Landry, is preparing to study physics and astronomy in her home country of Canada. Landry ran a physics workshop at the inaugural 2018 festival, an event aimed at getting school children to think creatively about their futures. Run as a series of workshops with experts in science, technology, engineering and maths from around the country, the Ideas Festival branched out to Timaru last year on the back of the Nelson event. supplied Nelson College for Girls students Cassie Hagan, Emily Rodwell and Ruby Heslop are due to run a chemistry workshop at Nelson's annual Ideas Festival.
