No case of VITT has been reported in the Philippines so far. Ong-Lim, a member of the Department of Health Technical Advisory for Covid-19, said the Philippine Food and Drug Administration decided to resume the use of AstraZeneca vaccine in the country. The DoH issued guidelines for vaccinators on how to identify VITT among vaccine recipients based on the recommendations of the Philippine College of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine.
