The rights body said these cases underscore the urgent need for Ethiopia's government to reform the country's justice system. Meanwhile, the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission has in its annual report, highlighted the fighting between Ethiopian authorities and forces in the Oromia region. The state-appointed commission urged officials to pay closer attention to the tensions and violence in Oromia, Voice of America reports. The commission said there were attacks in 13 of the 20 zones in the Oromia region, leading to an alarming number of casualties and an extremely concerning overall situation.
