BlogI travelled to Gondar, Ethiopia, last week at the invitation of the University of Gondar. The theme of the conference was "The 3D Printing Revolution and Ethiopia's 'Unfinished agenda' on Manufacturing". DIASPORA FOR DEVELOPMENTEthiopia's manufacturing sector contributed about 22 per cent of GDP in 2014 and grew at over 15 per cent during the same period. By comparison, Kenya's manufacturing sector contributed 14 per cent of GDP in 2015, down from 21 per cent in 1980. Kenya's manufacturing sector grew by 3.5 per cent in 2016.
