Baku, November 3, AZERTACEthiopia-based Capital newspaper has published an article headlined "Azerbaijan - land of diversity and tolerance". The article says that Azerbaijan is known as the land of tolerance at a time when the modern world faces religious and sectarian conflicts. The article hails Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's declaring 2016 the Year of Multiculturalism in the country. "Baku also hosts prestigious sporting events as Chess Olympiad, first European Games, Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe." The article highligts Pope Francis' visit to Azerbaijan, saying the Pontiff hailed co-existence of Muslim, Jewish and Christian communities in the country.
