Photo by EPA-EFE/STRINGERJuly 25 (UPI) -- The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs on Thursday said Wednesday that the death toll from southern Ethiopian landslides was rising and expected to reach up to 500. The death toll rose to 257 as of Wednesday, up from 157 reported the day prior, with at least 125 people displaced and sheltering with host communities and more than 15,515 affected people still needing to be evacuated and the government is finalizing an evacuation plan.
