The Ethiopian Securities Exchange has started its Capital Roadshow aiming to attract actors in the financial sector into buying shares and becoming stakeholders of ESX. It also announced that it would commence issuing licenses to capital brokers, dealers, and advisors in September this year. Foreign and domestic investors can purchase 75% of the shares of ESX while the rest of the ownership goes to the Ethiopian Government through Ethiopian Investment Holdings. Financial Deepening Africa (FSD Africa) has already signed an agreement to become a shareholder in the securities exchange. According to NBE, IFC has also shown an interest to participate in the securities exchange.
