Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has picked a University of Nairobi (UoN) graduate as the country’s new Ambassador to Kenya. The new Ambassador, Meles Alem, revealed his excitement promising to strengthen the two countries’ ties. “The relationship between the countries is exemplary in the region and my task will be to strengthen and deepen these ties further,” Alem told Nation. Previously, Alem served as head of diaspora affairs at the Ethiopian embassy between 2011 and 2015.
