Ethiopian PM, East African Leaders Inaugurate Unity Park in National PalaceBy Staff ReporterOctober 10, 2019 (Ezega.com) -- Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed along with East African leaders inaugurated what is called “Unity Park” built on the premises the Grand National Palace. Launched late last year as part of the government’s ongoing reforms, the construction of ‘Unity Park’ is said to have consumed 4 billion Ethiopian Birr. “Unity Park symbolizes our ability to come together for a common goal and cross the finish line by creating exquisite lasting prints of our collective worth,” said the office of the Prime Minister. With the Unity Park, the government wants to hand over the legacy of Ethiopia to the next generation and make money from local and international tourists. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has recognized those institutions and individuals involved in the renovation of the palace.
