Ethiopian Israelis are outraged by the killing and are staging demonstrations in several Israeli cities. Parents of Solomon Tekah are reportedly calling for protesters to pause the protest which is rocking the country. Ethiopian Israelis have been victims of racist attacks and racism for many years now. In 2015, for example, Ethiopian Israeli IDF soldier was beaten by Israeli Police in unprovoked racist attack- an incident which caused an outcry at the time. In the same year, there had been a widespread protest by Ethiopian Israelis against racism.
