The Ethiopian government delegation has suggested that the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency (KEMSA) operation system will be adopted to revitalize the country’s health sector. The delegation led by Ethiopian Health Minister Dereje Duguma engaged KEMSA and benchmarked their activities in an effort to replicate KAIZEN philosophies at the Ethiopian Pharmaceuticals Supply Service (EPSS). “The Kaizen philosophy is our benchmark of choice for continuous operational improvement goals in all our workflows. On the other hand, Ethiopian Health Minister Dereje described KEMSA’s operation as inspiring and promised to present the idea to the country’s leaders for consideration. The Kaizen philosophy is anchored around identifying customer interests and creating value.
