Flight ET502 took off from the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa at 8:30pm GMT. But a "general emergency" was declared at around 10:30pm, with the aircraft descending to 10,000ft near Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Flight Alerts Twitter account said: "ET502 Addis Ababa(ADD)-Dublin(DUB) declared a general emergency. Dublin Live have contacted Dublin Airport for further details on the nature of the general emergency.
