Ethiopian Airlines in partnership with ThinkYoung and Boeing announce the successful completion of its STEM School project, a six-week program that provided African youth and women with the skills needed to fill jobs now and in the future. The STEM School, spanning over 40 full-time days and consisting of over 300 hours of classes, aimed to increase the participation of underserved African youth and women in STEM fields. Throughout the program, students benefited from hands-on experiences in various STEM subjects, equipping them with practical skills and knowledge. Together, we want to create a lasting impact on the lives of Ethiopians, empowering them with the essential education and skills needed to not only adapt but thrive in the ever-evolving digital future.”The STEM School promoted STEM education and positive policymaking that advanced STEM skills among both women and men in Ethiopia. It also promoted students’ interest in STEM education and strengthened teachers’ interest in providing STEM-focused activities in their classrooms in Ethiopia.
