ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian Airlines has inaugurated its direct passenger flight between Abidjan and New York City today. The flight was launched at Abidjan Airport in the presence of Lemma Yedecha, Ethiopian Airlines Group Chief Commercial Officer and other dignitaries, the carrier says. The route also allows airlines to serve New York from its main hub Addis Ababa via Abidjan four times weekly. “The resumption of our Abidjan-New York flight brings back the flexibility that our passengers love,” Ethiopian airlines group CEO Mesfin Tasew said. Currently, Ethiopian Airlines is serving more than 145 domestic and international passenger and cargo destinations.
