Mediated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia, the leaders of Somalia and Kenya are set to meet face to face and resolve their differences peacefully. Prime Minister Abiy and Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdulahi Mohamed flew to Nairobi this evening to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya. It is expected that the leaders will reach an agreement in this regard,” said Nigusu Tillahun, Press Secretary of the Prime Minister Office. During his stay in Ethiopia President Uhuru has expressed his support to Prime Minister Abiy’s MEDEMER (coming together) policy saying: “If we are united we will prosper. Speaking at the inauguration of Debre Birhan Industry Park of Ethiopia, President Uhuru indicated that people of Somali or Ethiopia, Kenya Sudan or Eritrea are the same and need to collaborate ad work together.
