Ethiopia launches 250-MW solar tenderOctober 5 (Renewables Now) - Ethiopia on Wednesday launched a tender for 250 MW of solar capacity as part of the World Bank Group's Scaling Solar programme. This is the fifth Scaling Solar tender in Africa so far, World Bank Group said on its Scaling Solar site. It follows two rounds in Zambia, where the round 1 projects are expected to reach financial close soon. Zambia's round 2 has completed the qualification stage, as has a tender in Senegal. A request for pre-qualification (RfQ) for a 25-MW PV project in Madagascar was also unveiled on Wednesday.
