ISLAMABAD: The Ethiopian embassy on Tuesday sought collaboration with the Pakistani government in the financial sector to attract Pakistani investors towards its flourishing economy. Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula expressed the desire for the collaboration in a meeting with caretaker Finance Minister Dr Shamshad Akhtar. During the meeting, both sides discussed avenues of opportunities including different initiatives to deepen the already flourishing bilateral ties between the two countries. In response, Finance Minister Dr Shamshad Akhtar congratulated the ambassador on opening the embassy in Pakistan and starting Ethiopian Airlines’ operations in Pakistan. She lauded the impressive reforms carried out by Ethiopia in the recent past and reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthen bilateral relations.
