Atnafu stated this during a meeting with the secretary general and deputy secretary general of the Africa-Asia Rural Development Organization (Aardo), Manoj Nardeo Singh and Rami Qtaishat, respectively, according to the state-run Fana Broadcasting Corporate television station. Issues related to Aardo’s activities with a special focus on Addis Ababa’s participation in the organization’s Human Resources Development Programs centered the discussions. The Ethiopian diplomat emphasized that improving and increasing production and productivity in the agricultural sector is one of the Government’s top priorities, as well as the willingness to exchange skills, technologies and innovations in the sector with India. He revealed that more than 70 Ethiopians participated in the training program organized by that organization between 2017 and 2022 in areas such as technological innovations in integrated water management, livestock reinforcement, plant pest and disease control and agricultural technologies. mh/abo/mem/nmr
