Tiruneh emphasized on the growing challenges posed by this issue inthe continent, as well as the difficulty in resolving internal conflicts, cross-border tensions and growing terrorist threats. He also stressed the need to seek solutions that go beyond discussions, pointing to viable measures to address these critical problems. Tiruneh described the purpose of the conference as a platform to discuss these challenges and develop a unified approach to improve security throughout Africa. The African Union recognized Ethiopia’s ongoing contributions to peace and stability. It will serve as an ideal venue to showcase Ethiopia’s central role in peace and stability efforts, both within Africa and internationally.
