The Anti-Corruption Commission of Oromia Region of Ethiopia has arrested 75 officials suspected of corruption, an official said. Among so far arrested include:– from Oromia Micro finance: Teshome Legesse, Director General; Teshome Kebede and Mesjkerem Dabba who were management committee members. – from Shashemene City: the former mayor Feyissa Regassa; former deputy mayor Abdo Gebeyehu; and Gemeda Bedasso who was city manager. – From Jimma zone: Fanta Bekele, Mancho Wereda (district) AdministratorIn addition, the list also includes Oromia Region officials such as, Mohammed Kassim, Endalkachew Belachew and Yilma Deressa from Oromia procurement agency. At federal government level currently Ethiopian government is also prosecuting dozens of corrupt officials along with their business associates.
