Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure announced that a regulation which would help resolve problems in the construction sector was drafted. Corruption, compromised quality, and delay in completing projects are some of the problems seen in the construction sector. The draft regulation addresses corruption and has included provisions which penalize professionals, companies, and other organs in the construction sector who commit unlawful acts. The construction sector is one of the leading sectors in creating employment opportunities for citizens. Accordingly, the sector employed 1.8 million individuals in the past two years.
