Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta arrived in Eritrea on Sunday ahead of scheduled tripartite talks. The two leaders were welcomed in Asmara by Isaias Afewerki, who is also scheduled to hold separate talks with each. Before flying to Asmara, President Kenyatta held bilateral talks with PM Ahmed in Addis Ababa in a two-day visit. They resumed diplomatic ties and even opened embassies in Asmara and Addis Ababa to further boost cooperation. Since the resumption of diplomatic ties between Ethiopia and Eritrea, various developments have occurred in line with this.
