The police forces of Ethiopia, and National Police Service of Kenya are set to launch joint operations against the two terrorist organizations in the region namely, OLF-Shene and al-Shabaab. This is indicated by Commissioner General Demelash Gebremichael, who received in his office his counterpart from Kenya, Inspector General Hilary N. Mutyambai. Commissioner General Demelash said that the two have agreed to jointly combat forces destruction in the neighborhood namely, al Shabaab and OLF-Shene. Before the joint operation against the two terrorist groups fruitful, the Federal Police of Ethiopia, and its counterpart in Kenya will sign an agreement within less than a month, according to the state newswire, Ethiopian News Agency (ENA). During their meeting in Addis Ababa today the heads of Federal Police of Ethiopia and its counterpart in Kenya have discussed cooperation on peace and security across the border the two countries share.
