In the initial quarter of the current Ethiopian fiscal year, the Ministry of Agriculture reported that over USD 169.5 million was generated from the export of flowers, vegetables, and fruits. The total revenue was derived from the export of 96,443.36 tons of flowers, vegetables, and fruits during the specified period. The vegetable sub-sector also played a significant role, grossing 17.2 million USD from the export of 58,340.40 tons. Additionally, the fruit sub-sector secured around 6.12 million USD from exporting 14,823.99 tons during the reported period. The Ministry of Agriculture aims to generate USD 741.8 million USD in the fiscal year from the export of 351,030,031.71 kg of flowers, vegetables, and fruits.
