The Eritrean and Ethiopian leaders visited the South Sudanese capital Juba on Monday to strengthen economic and political integration in their region. Due to the importance of the one-day visit, against a background of the current weak integration in their area, South Sudan President Salva Kiir interrupted a tour of the Greater Bahr El Ghazal region to receive the visitors, the Sudan Tribune reported. Kiir visited Asmara for two days of talks also focusing on regional integration in August last year. The South Sudan president was on a two-week trip to the states of Greater Bahr El Ghazal to brief people about the revitalised peace agreement and meet the locals and listen to their demands before he returned to the capital to meet his guests. – African News AgencyFor more news your way, download The Citizen’s app for iOS and Android.
