The just ended fiscal year saw Ethiopia’s export earnings from coffee reaching 866 million USD. This was from 221,000 tons of coffee exported during the period. The achievement is 92 percent of what Ethiopian Coffee & Tea Development and Marketing Authority targeted. "It is a very great achievement compared to nation's previous years' coffee export performance", the authority noted. Out of the entire coffee export Germany alone took 18 percent, he added.
