Terminal I of Bole International Airport, which was built by China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), has become operational. The terminal is expected to boost the capacity of the airport and contribute to the country’s economy. Bole International Airport is one of the biggest airports in Africa. In December last year, the airline completed a study to commence construction of a mega airport in Oromia Regional State this year. It is expected that the mega airport will have the capacity to handle 100 million passengers upon completion.
