The 13th All Africa Leather Fair, Africa’s largest leather and leather products exhibition, will be held between April 20 and 22 in Addis Ababa. It is hoped that the exhibition will help in re-igniting the leather industry and reversing its downturn which occurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The leather and leather products industry is one of the leading manufacturing sectors in Ethiopia. The country mainly exports finished leather followed by shoe exports. Huajian Group, one of the largest shoe exporters in China, is currently producing shoes in Ethiopia for international brands such as Guess and Calvin Klein.
